Robin Gage has a broad commercial and civil litigation practice with a focus on public law including environmental, aboriginal and constitutional law, employment, labour, human rights and administrative law. She provides legal advice and services to a broad range of private and institutional clients as well as administrative bodies, and has appeared as counsel before administrative tribunals and in the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada.  Robin also provides assistance to clients on a variety of environmental law matters, including providing advice and representation on the remediation of contaminated sites in the commercial and residential context. Robin is an associate of the University of Victoria’s Environmental Law Centre.

Robin was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2003 after clerking with the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Vancouver. As a law student, Robin worked with the law firm Rosenbloom & Aldridge where she worked primarily on aboriginal law matters. Robin articled and later practiced with leading boutique litigation firm, Arvay Finlay, before joining Mark Underhill in 2006.

Leadership, Membership & Honours

Robin is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Victoria Bar Association. She is an executive member of the CBA’s Women Lawyers Forum – Vancouver Island, and a mentor in the CBA’s mentorship program. She supports public legal education by speaking to law students, community groups, and high school students about important legal issues. She is a graduate of the UBC Faculty of Law where she was awarded prizes in legal writing and environmental law.
